finsihed.

man...this is odd. i'm finished with school. it feels weird. i'm not that excited. i'm kind of sad. i thought it would feel different. i thought i would jump up and shout for joy after my last test. i didn't. i think i am feeling this way because i'm not really finished. i have more to do dealing with school. maybe i'm just hoping that i pass my finals so until i know for sure that i'm graduating i'm feeling this way. well. i just wanted to share this. have a good day.

two tests left.

and i am done with USU. man. this has gone by so fast. i am really going to miss the college life. in a week i leave logan town and move back in with mommy and daddy for the next little while.
i have been lucky through out my college life and am going to miss everything that goes along with it.

roommates. words can't express my gratitude to every one of these ladies i have come to know and love. they all have been incredible examples to me and allowed me to cry on their shoulder, laugh until i pee my pants, and have some of the best girl talk ever.

i will miss school. i have loved learning new things everyday.

i will miss the constant feeling of achievement.

i will miss group projects.

i will miss the late nights finishing up the paper you just started that is due the next morning.

i will miss waking up late and running to class with wet hair in the middle of logan winter.

i will miss having carnation instant breakfast or cereal for every meal.

i will miss late night talks with friends.

i will miss having my neighbors become some of the greatest friends i have ever had.

i will miss the constant feeling of being busy.

although i will miss all of these things. i am really excited for the next chapter in my life. i am always going to set goals and work towards attaining them. i am happy with who i have become because of the choices in my life. going to school has had a huge impact on who i have  become today and i would not trade the experiences i have been able to have for anything in the world. i love life.

Funny stuff right here.

so...here's a funny story if you care to read about it. i had a job interview for the company that i work for now, just at another location (i am transferring branches because i'm moving home after i graduate.)  this new branch just happens to be on base. anywho...i went to my interview on friday...black friday that is and met the lead teller in the visitor parking lot. i got into her car and we were off to the gate to get inside. we drive up and she pulls out her sponser badge to get us both in and the guy decides he needs to see my id as well. no biggie, i go to get my wallet out of my purse and shoot, my wallet did not get put back into my purse that afternoon (the reason it was out of my purse was a mistake in and of itself. black friday shopping. who wants to haul around a big purse when you are fighting for your favorite movie at wal-mart? not me!) so, the man is sitting there waiting for me while i'm nervously trying to find anything in my purse to show that i am who i am. all i could find was a check book. that didn't work. he was very impatient with us as i was trying to find this because there was a huge line of cars behind us waiting to enter. he instructs us that we are to turn around and cannot enter until i find some id. back to the visitor parking lot we go.
she calls her boss and explains the situation to him and he just suggests that we go out to lunch and conduct the interview over a nice sandwich from cutlers (yummy.) we take his advice and drive down the street for another adventure.
we get there, go inside, wait in line for our turn to order...usual fast food routine. it is finally our turn and after taking a little while to order we go to pay and what happens? SHE FORGOT HER WALLET TOO!!! of course she did. why would anything else go right in that interview? really. so we sit there laughing hysterically because nothing is going our way. we make it out to her car and i mentioned that she just take me to my house for my wallet because we cannot get on base to get hers...because i don't have my id.  soon after we have decided that we are going to my house i remember i have my checkbook. we walk back in and find out they do take checks. i pay for our lunch with a reassurance of reimbursement.
you would think that after all of this hassle it could only go uphill from there. wrong!
we are filling up our drinks, i turn around to get a straw and BAM....there is a little child right by my feet and i knock her straight on her face. "oh geez," i think to myself. bring it on. haha.
well we get to our table safely and go through the interview process. i don't know if you guys have ever had an interview over lunch...it is pretty difficult! no one knows when to eat, and when you do it is usually horrible timing. but we got through it and needless to say, I GOT THE JOB! i know. hard to believe. i'm just glad it happened with someone who knew how to laugh at life. i think i'm really going to like this new branch. they all seem awesome!
sorry this was so long. i just felt it was funny and should be shared with all.
i'm off to go to the shooting range with ryan, dad, and ricky bobby. you all have a great night.

love you.

believe in good things to come.

i am sitting here in my room reflecting on the past couple of days in my life. you know that post last week announcing that boy i loved so very much? well...that hasn't changed, but our relationship has. sadly, we broke up a couple nights ago. this definitely was one of the hardest things i have been through in my life.

i did not think that this many tears were capable of coming out of a human being (especially from me!)

sometimes you just have to move on when things aren't progressing.

i have no hard feelings towards him and i hope that he has no hard feelings against me. i love his family still and it is hard to move on from things that are comfortable.

it is hard to hurt the people you love. but sometimes you have to do things that you know are going to hurt both parties temporarily. the phrase often quoted,"I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it" gives me hope.

you have to grasp tightly to everything you have learned in church. hold on to that faith that we have been taught. trust deeply in our knowledge that our Heavenly Father knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what is right. What is going to be best for us in the long run.

thanks for all of your love and support. hope you have a nice day.

and here is a thought from elder holland that i think you should watch. it is where my title of this post comes from (thanks Shayla!)

hello my friends(or Denise and Baylee the two people that read this!) i know it has been a few minutes since i've written on this thing and for that i am sorry. my life has just been a little busy. you see, there is this new thing in my life that i have kind of sort of fallen in love with. and, you guessed it, it's a boy. his name is ricky mcbride (and no, he does not have a facebook so you can't go searching for him!) he is so good to me. he is from hyrum city here in utah. i have been dating him since april and i guess it is about time i tell you all about him. unfortunately i don't have any pictures available to me at this time. they will come later, promise. he is a cowboy. very handsome. very hard worker. very happy. shy at first. but i love him...oh i already said that, didn't i? :)
well...that is all for now. i hope you all are excited because i am!

so. i know that you all have been dying to get any sort of new post on here from me. okay...well i really only know about one or two people denise is one of them. i work with her. tomorrow is her last day at our branch. i'm really sad. i'm going to miss her and her encouraging words to get me to post on my blog. she really cares about me.
well...a lot has happened in the past little while. but i'm going to focus on strictly one thing on this post. my best friends wedding. this happened a couple weeks ago. her name is chelsea. i love her. she is my sanity...along with two other members that make up what is known as the quad.
love them.
the day was great and full of adventure. she got married in the bountiful temple. it was just a lovely day. her and brett are so very happy together.  they came out of the temple with such a beaming light of happiness on their faces. here is an example of what they looked like the whole day...

We had a fun time at the temple taking pictures and all….here are a few…

marriage.

the luncheon was great. i got the give the traditional speech for the bride. and i cried. what's the big deal? she only gave me a few minutes in advance to prepare. i was nervous the whole time. i couldn't even eat the delicious food. oh well. i hope she liked my great words of wisdom. the luncheon is where she had her reception also. it was called the cantebury (sp?). it was very nice.here is a picture of chels and i in the brides room over looking the luncheon area...

the reception was great. i thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the people there.  here are a few people that were my favorite to see...of course bay and lex are a given...

BUT WHITNEY KAP was such a surprising and exciting sight to see. she told me that she was one of my blog followers...or stalkers...either way i was happy to know she still cares about me. she is getting married soon too.

well...i guess what i'm trying to say is that it was a great day full of fun, friends, dancing, and laughter. truly a day that will go down in history...especially because i jumped over a crowd of cute little girls to catch the bouquet. ha ha. i had no other pption. it's a best friend thing. thanks for letting me be one of you bridesmaids chels. i love you and am so happy that you are married to the man of your dreams.

He's my guy...

Dear man,
I feel bad for you. I am sad that you think that getting through life by stealing things is easier than just working for them. I hope that you can turn your life around after a long time in jail. I do believe that people are good. They just get off the path and they can't see the good in themselves anymore. I know that you can be forgiven if you want.

from,

the girl who caught you trying to rob her apartment.

Police catch suspected serial-burglar
February 11th, 2010 @ 10:05pm
By Alex Cabrero
LOGAN -- Logan police believe they've caught the man responsible for close to two dozen apartment break-ins. Those burglaries happened at apartments near Utah State University beginning this past December.
Thirty-two-year old Aaron Foote of Orem is now in the Cache County jail. He has been charged with three second-degree felonies and a parole violation.
When police caught him early Thursday morning, they found several items that were reported stolen from a break-in just a couple of hours earlier.
"We were able to find this individual in his truck, and we were able to recover some of the stolen property," said Logan police Capt. Jeff Curtis.
Some of the stolen property recovered belongs to Scott Egbert, who lives in the Cambridge Court apartments near the 600 East block of Canyon Road.
"We woke up last night at about 5:00 in the morning," Egbert said. "Our laptops were missing, all our wallets were missing, all our cell phones were missing, and he stole our keys to our cars too."
Right away, Egbert thought about the serial-burglar police were looking for in the area. That's when it really hit him.
"The thing that makes us the most nervous is he was brave enough to come into our rooms while we were sleeping," Egbert said. "My cell phone was charging on my pillow right next to where I was sleeping, and he came into my room and took it."
Egbert and his roommates called police, who tracked the burglar to the Old Main View apartments a few blocks away.
"He went into an apartment. We feel to try and hide from us," Curtis said.
That apartment was on the second floor. As police got closer, Foote cut through a screen and jumped to the ground. That's when police tracked him to his truck.
"We're happy to catch this guy," Curtis said.
Investigators say Foote has an extensive criminal history.

I think i might be in a little bit in a debbie downer mood. the other day at work a man came in with his friend. i was helping them and all of a sudden i hear him talking about haiti. we have a sign that says you can donate to the red cross at my branch. he said some bad things. he said he was sick of hearing about haiti. he thinks we should stop giving a crap about them. we have our own starving families here in America. we shouldn't try to solve their problems until our own are solved. he then turned to his friend and asked what he thought. his friend i could tell was very uncomfortable. he didn't say anything. it made me mad. i wish he would have said something and stood up for what he really thought. so it may be true...we may have starvation here in america. and we try to help them. isn't this life about helping people? not just people in your own country....but ALL people. no one is perfect and that is why we help each other here on earth. the people in haiti are experiencing things that we can't even imagine. they don't have homes, food, clothes, or family. i want to help those in need and not say that i'm sick of hearing about them. that boy needs to take a step back and realize that if we have the tools to help...we have the responsibility to help as well.

anywho...hope you all are having a great week! love you.

nuff said.

first off...i want to give a shout out to my beautiful mother. it was her birthday over the weekend. she is the best mother in the entire universe and i love her with all my heart. she has accomplished so much in her life and never ceases to amaze me. when i grow up, i want to be just like my mother. she is loving, understanding, outgoing, beautiful, fun, funny, wonderful, important, an example, and an anchor in my life. love you mom!!!
(don't judge my bangs.)

alright...second of all...i just want to talk about some of my best friends in the world. lex, bay, chels(aka the quad.) love these girls. they are all incredible women and i love them all. i got to go to lunch with bay and lex the other day. it was so fun to just catch up. bay is prego and lex is just a busy bee with work and school. i love them so.
bet you wish your friends were this awesome!!!

today was the day that chels took her bridals. lex did her hair and make-up. it was so fun to see her all dolled up. she seriously looked to beautiful...like barbie x 10. her whole marriage thing has been pretty unreal to me this whole time...until today. tears almost came out of my eyes as i watched lex make her into this glamorous model and again when we were helping her put her dress on. she is so precious to me and i'm so happy for her. love you chels.
(i would have posted a picture of her today but she said not yet. brett can't see her in her dress!)

so...now for the funny story of the day. well it's not really a story...just a series of awkward events.

i had a dentist appointment today. i was getting my silver fillings replaced with white ones. anywho...it was a long process and i was there forever. i get into the dentist chair and here goes my awkward moments...in numerical order...
1-you all know this one but dentist tries to talk to you with his hands all up in your grill. you try to answer but you can't because first, his hands are shoved in your mouth, next, your mouth is completely numb and you start talking with a lisp because you can't feel your mouth.
2- remember you can't feel your mouth... and suddenly you feel a trickle of drool going down your neck. i didn't even try to wipe it off because i knew it would find it's way on down there yet again.
3- dentist has been working on your mouth for a good 40 minutes and your mouth decides that it doesn't want to cooperate anymore. so what else would your lips start doing other than twitch like crazy?! i couldn't get them to stop. ahhh...it was so embarrassing. the dentist couldn't stop laughing.
4- after about 50 minutes in the chair my eyes start leaking. my head has been tilted back for so long that water starts coming out of my eyes uncontrollably. dentist notices and asks if i'm okay. i told him yes. i just have stupid eyes that like to leak sometimes. it was so funny.

he probably thought i was so crazy. a crying, twitching, drooling, lisping fool. haha. good times. i love life.

can i also just say that i love my job. although at times it may not seem so...i really do enjoy working with the people i work with. i feel so blessed to have a job here in logan with awesome co-workers.

until next time followers. remember...life is good.

I just want you all to know that I'm really happy right now.  i just figured out my schedule for school. i have a date tonight. i got two new pair of jeans from ross yesterday. life is good. i can't stop smiling all the time. and now i'm going to the gym. have a great weekend. love you all.
and...for your enjoyment..a picture.

Sweet!

So...today is my first day back at school and like always, I'm not prepared. I don't have a full schedule yet, I'm not sure if I want some of the classes that I'm even in. I get to my first class and realize when I opened my backpack that there was nothing in it. no paper to take notes on...ugh...my life is unorganized. I hate this feeling.
And on a side note...I am a research asst. for one of my teachers and I already have a bunch of research to do for him. Great. It all starts. I think I'm going to take a nap. It seems like the best solution to my problems right now. :)
Last week my family and I got to go to Targhee. It was so fun. I love snowboardings! We went up the IF and stayed with Kathy and Jeff. It was awesome. Their house is so beautiful and big. And the company is great as well! we played games and laughed a lot. here is a couple pics complements michelle and her blog!

Lunch time!!!

And...we are gonna call it a day! (Notice michelle and I posing like we are cheerleaders...well that was our intent anyway...)

well...I better get back to life now. whatever that means...
