Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010

okay...here is another post. my first one with pics. i know you are all way psyched out of your mind about it. don't judge me for the lack of good format. i am trying my best and hope you enjoy this. it is kind of long but i thought it would be good to have.

•  What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?

• i didn't make any legit resolutions for last year. i will for sure be making some for this coming year and i'm stoked about them.

•  Did anyone close to you give birth?
• bomb cousins brit, and abby.

• oh my word...there was something in the water here at work. three of my co-worker friends gave birth too.
• pretty much all i'm trying to say is a ton of people i know gave birth. they all have beautiful babies too.

• nope, thankfully.

• What countries did you visit?
• none. :(

• What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
• my mission call or a bachelor's degree. and money.

• What date(s) from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
• july 1st. the day that my best friend britnee left on her mission.

• What was your biggest achievement of the year?
• recovering from mono and, in turn running my very first half marathon with her

• What was your biggest failure?
• not being able to go on my mission until 2010 because of diabetes. :( i'm not proud of it.

•  Did you suffer illness or injury?

• What was the best thing you bought?
• a 42" hd tv...with a gift card...compliments of my place of employment!!!!

• Whose behavior merited celebration?
• my grandma betty lou, survivor of lung cancer.
• my parents of course of always being there.

• school, school, housing, food, school, books, and school.

• road trip to cali with these beautiful besties...

i. happier or sadder? i am happier. keeps happening every day! I LOVE LIFE!!!

iii. richer or poorer? the second one. i don't like to say it. but at least i have more of an education. :)

• with life, yes. a boy, no.

• just one person that i can think of. i'm not going to name names because i think that is mean. and no one knows i hate this person.

• i would have to say "on the road to heaven." i have not finished it yet...but i am falling in love with it and i'm almost done!

•  i think it is a huge issue that a lot of american's do not know much about our political issues and i'm one of those

• family is who will be there when you need someone. i learned who my true friends are. i learned that life needs to be taken less seriously. i can do things that i want to...like giant zip lines...if i put my mind to it. the gospel of Jesus Christ is the key to happiness and it is true.

stupid theif.

yes. you heard me right. we were robbed. he was caught red handed. by me. here is the story...


i just moved into my new apt approximately three nights ago. i now live in a town home with 9 other females. (no, i'm not crazy. i've lived with that many girls once apon a time and it was great.) anywho, most of them are gone for the break so i haven't met everyone yet. the second night being there came around and i was ready to go to bed. it was one thirty in the am. i turn the lights off, shut my door because i always sleep with my door shut. four thirty rolls around and i randomly wake up only to find that the door to my room was open all the way and the light outside my door in the front room was turned on. i was weirded out so i decided to go upstairs to check on my friend wendy who was sleeping over on our love sac. i turnedoff the big light, creeped up the stairs and soon found out she was not alone up there. laying awkwardly on the floor was a man. he was not a familiar man to me. i thought it was strange at first but talked myself out of it being weird, convincing myself that it was just a friend of my many unknown roommates. i didn't see wendy at first so i continued on up the stairs, creeped my way around the mysterious man and poked my head high enough to see her laying comfortably on the love sac.
i went back down the stairs into my kitchen to get a drink because i couldn't sleep now. i was tired, confused, and didn't feel right about any part of this night. it had been less than two minutes since seeing this young, college aged sir and i headed back to my room to get a little sleep. as i turned the corner i saw him. he was grabbing his coat to be on his way. he turned around, looked at me, and mumbled some form of what i would call gibberish.
i went upstairs to talk to wendy about what had just happened and she had no idea that there was a strange man sleeping right below her. at this point we were both freaked out to the max. we went to my room and tried to sleep.
a couple seconds later my roommate came home and i asked her if she had been home at all. she told me that she hadn't. so i told her that someone was here and she was confused too because she knew that no one was at our apt that night except for me.
that morning wendy and i woke up and she had a strange cut in her capri sweats. it started at the bottom and went to the middle of her thigh. who knows how it got there. it is a mystery. just like the whole night.
i got home from work that night and my roommates were there and they told me that we had been robbed. the stupid man took all of their money for utilities.
that night qualified as the strangest/most scary night of my life.
last night i called the cops. they came over and had me fill out all this official looking paperwork. they left. i was alone. i got scared. i called carl. he came over and spent the night. it was safer that way.
i am alive and so is wendy. and only $20 dollars was taken from us.

so sorry my fellow blog followers...it has been far too long since i've posted last. i know that you have all been wondering where i have been. the answer...school and work. finals just got finished and by golly, i'm so glad. it was pretty stressful and i hope all of that stress pays off. last night...up until 3:30 revising a paper, woke back up and 7:30 to study for a final which i took at 9:30. got done at 11:30. drove to work and will be here until 7:15. i'm about out of that little thing you call energy.

I would just like to give a shout out to my great co-worker friend, Jalene and her fiance, Lincoln. they just got engaged. hoooraaayy for engagements. seems like everyone around me is doing that whole marriage thing. chelsea, my BFF, is well on her way and boy i'm sure going to miss living with her and seeing her all the time.

last night....me and my roommates were all just so sick of studying. so what else do you do other than turn the music on full blast and dance your little heart out? beats me. so that is what we did. it was fun. i like them.

one more exciting thing i want to add to this post is something that happened on wed. i was at the library, again, studying my brains out when all of a sudden i hear what sounds like a bunch of wolves howling in the night. anywho...turns out, every wed at ten o clock in the lib. everyone goes to the common entrance and howls. i was all alone that night. but i wanted to howl. really bad. so i did. i went to the common area in the lib where all the howlers were and howled until i was satisfied. it was a releif. i like howling. it lasted about ten minutes and it was probably the best ten minutes of my day.

start of something new.

here is the beginning of my stinking blog. i don't really know what i'm doing but i figure for the sake of the people i work with this blog should get started. hopefully jalene is right...she says that as i keep blogging, things will just come (jalene is my co-worker friend who helps me through life.)

i'm thinking it would just be such a great way to keep track of what goes on in my life. it is my lame substitute of a journal. my kids will have to read an electronic version of what goes on in my life. welcome to the world of technology.

i go to college. i love my family more than anything in the world.  they are the coolest EVER. i don't care what you say! i have two best friends. britnee, and chelsea. love them. one day when i grow up i want to become a nurse. i am planning on a mission in a few months. lets pray that my dr. says i can go. i love candy, boys, and life.
